Marina Ahun's "Fitz-Randolph Gate/Nassau Hall" Watercolor Fine Art Print

Artwork

Marina Ahun

Museum quality watercolor giclee print

The Fitz-Randolph Gate grandly marks the traditional entrance to University. The gate is named for Nathaniel Fitz-Randolph who donated the land on which Nassau Hall stands. After 1970 the gate was opened permanently as a symbol of greater awareness of the world outside the University. Legend has it that any student who passes out of the Fitz-Randolph Gate before graduation will not graduate. Students take this very seriously, and it has become a rite of passage for graduating seniors to walk out the gates at the end of their graduation ceremony.
