Design Concepts by Joan Ellis

This ornament is from a series of Princeton historic landmark ornaments.  These beautiful gold plated solid brass ornaments are certain to become a treasured heirloom.

Princeton University Chapel, built between 1925 and 1928, replaced Marquand Chapel, which burned in 1920. It is one of the largest chapels in the world designed by Ralph Adams Cram of Boston, one of the leading Gothic revival architects of the day. It includes traditional cruciform, comprising nave, transits, and choir. The great west window over the entrance is a summation of the art of the Chapel. Ecumenical Christian, Baptist, Catholic, Episcopal, Lutheran, and Muslim services are held in the Chapel.
